Fortinet Program ExpansionThe Advent of Usage-Based LicensingWhat is the Fortinet FortiFlex Program?Availability in AWS Marketplace

As the digital landscape evolves at a breakneck speed, cybersecurity must keep pace. Fortinet, a global cybersecurity leader, understands this more than anyone. The company has recently expanded its FortiFlex program to offer customers more flexible licensing options. The FortiFlex program expansion ushers in a new era of adaptability, allowing businesses to navigate the ever-changing cyber environment with ease.

Fortinet Program Expansion

John Maddison, EVP Products and CMO at Fortinet, commented on the expansion, saying, “The solutions organizations deploy today are becoming more flexible to support highly distributed users and applications. Licensing models should be just as flexible. That’s why we’re excited to expand our FortiFlex program to give customers more licensing options to utilize Fortinet solutions and services according to their evolving needs.”

The Advent of Usage-Based Licensing

The FortiFlex program expansion comes in response to the increasing complexity of modern networks. With the rise of highly distributed users, applications, and growing network edges, IT teams often struggle to anticipate their security needs accurately. The FortiFlex program offers a solution, introducing usage-based licensing to address the dynamic needs of modern businesses.

What is the Fortinet FortiFlex Program?

FortiFlex delivers a broad range of Fortinet’s cybersecurity solutions across cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises deployments through a point system. This intuitive approach allows organizations to monitor their available balance, usage trends, and total spend seamlessly. The program provides IT teams with the flexibility to adapt their deployments to meet daily needs, eliminating the pain of overbuying or underusing.

Additionally, FortiFlex has extended its offerings to include services for physical FortiGate next-generation firewall (NGFW) appliances. With support for hybrid mesh firewall, Fortinet continues to strengthen its portfolio and arm its customers with more licensing options for their security needs.

Philip Bues, Research Manager, Cloud Security, at International Data Corporation (IDC), praised Fortinet’s initiative, stating, “Flexible licensing is growing in popularity because it allows enterprises to be nimble in the face of the shifting networking and cybersecurity landscape. With its expanded usage-based licensing program, Fortinet is distinguishing itself by giving customers even more choices for how they address technical demands and manage cost.”

Availability in AWS Marketplace

Starting today, FortiFlex is also available via a private offer in the AWS Marketplace, making it easier for businesses to leverage the benefits of AWS while still accessing the industry-leading secure networking products and services offered by Fortinet.

In conclusion, the FortiFlex program expansion underscores Fortinet’s commitment to customer choice. It offers a fresh and flexible approach to cybersecurity, making it easier for businesses to secure their networks as per their unique needs. As the cybersecurity landscape continues to evolve, innovative solutions like the FortiFlex program will be key to maintaining a secure and resilient cyber environment.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on Fortinet’s FortiFlex program expansion. How do you think it will impact the future of cybersecurity? Feel free to leave your comments below!
